This is a NON PROFIT event expected to attract a target group of approx. 200 delegates / 100 organizations attendance from Safety, Technical, Marine departments of shipping operators and other related industry stakeholders. Henning holds a degree as Environmental Engineer (Diplomingenieur, Dipl.-Ing.) and is actively involved in maritime environmental protection since more than 20 years. Since 2005 he is working in the field of ship recycling and has become a leading expert for all aspects of green ship recycling and compliance data management. In 2011 he has established GSR Services GmbH for supporting all stakeholders for cost-effective compliance with Hong Kong Convention and EU – Regulation on Ship Recycling from cradle to grave. Katalin Dobranszky, Senior Director for Policy Analysis, Social Affairs and Finance, European Shipowners – ECSA

Katalin is a Senior Director for Policy Analysis, Social Affairs and Finance and embarked on her journey with ECSA in 2019. Within this capacity, she orchestrates the ECSA Policy Hub, oversees social affairs and taxation matters, and focuses on raising awareness of the importance of ship finance with EU regulators. Katalin is trained as a risk manager and investment analyst as well as in law. She studied in Budapest, Maastricht and Cambridge and she holds a PhD degree in sustainable finance. Beyond her professional pursuits, Katalin finds solace and joy in her role as a devoted mother of three and an avid sailing enthusiast. She is a believer in life-long education. As a dog lover, she has two cats.

 

Friederike Hesse, Co-Founder and Managing Director, zero44 GmbH

Friederike Hesse is Co-Founder and Managing Director of zero44, founded in January 2022. Previously, Hesse was COO at Homeday, where she was responsible for building up the sales organisation and digital customer service processes, and was thus able to gain extensive experience in the digitalisation of a previously rather traditional industry. Prior to this, she was, among other things, Managing Director at the Dussmann Group. She acquired knowledge in the area of legal regulation and related political processes during several years as an advisor at the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Friederike Hesse studied economics at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and also holds a Master of Public Business Administration from Harvard University (USA)

 

Henrik Jensen, CEO, Danica Crewing Specialist

Henrik Jensen is the CEO and Founder of Danica Crewing Specialists, which provides quality crew to more than 250 vessels of all types recruited through Danica’s network of seven owned crewing offices throughout Europe, India, and the Far East. Henrik was born in Denmark but has lived for 25 years in Hamburg, where Danica is headquartered. Like many maritime professionals, he began his career at sea before moving ashore, where he gained extensive, high-quality experience in senior positions with leading ship-owning and management companies. Henrik founded Danica in 2013, and the company has expanded significantly over the years to become a leading crewing service provider. Erik is the founder and Managing Director of Ankron Water Services GmbH. With a Master’s degree in Process Engineering and Energy Technology, he has been working in the ballast water industry for more than fifteen years. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in regulations, system design, type approval, testing and troubleshooting of ballast water treatment systems. At Ankron, Erik and his team provide independent consulting and testing services to the maritime industry, supporting ship owners, manufacturers and authorities in all areas of technical development, approval and proper operation of equipment and water treatment systems. Erik directs all testing activities related to global Vessel General Permit compliance and IMO commissioning testing. Besides he plays a key role in a variety of technical, regulatory and scientific consultancy projects. In addition, Ankron also organises training courses for port authorities, ship owners and crews, which are planned and carried out under Erik’s direction.

 

Gerald Lange, Senior Product Manager CVS, Kaleris

Gerald received his Transport Engineering SeaTraffic degree from the University of Rostock in 1994.  He joined the former Seacos, now Kaleris, in 1996 after two years of research projects in the field of simulation of vessels maneuvering and behavior of underwater vehicles at the University of Rostock and the Swedish research company SSPA Gothenburg.   He worked for Navis as a software developer in the MACS3 team in research projects, in project management and developed specialized modules for different kinds of vessels. He currently is Senior Product Manager MACS3, looking to develop the onboard loading instrument of the next decade.

Attendance to the event is FREE subject to online registration. In case you are interested, please complete the online registration form and confirm with the organizers. FREE attendance includes coffee, snacks and drinks during breaks plus lunch at the event venue. Attendance does NOT include accommodation and/or traveling or parking which should be paid in by the delegates as decided/applicable.
